Important Facts

• Mandatory evaluations for all Senior, Junior, Major and Minor players to be placed on a team in your age group or to be evaluated to move up one division (See Divisions & Age Chart tabs above for more details).
  • Time / Date / Location TBD.
  • Advanced 8-year-old Pioneer players MUST attend this evaluation to be considered for Minor play and placement, no exceptions.
  • All other Pioneer players do not attend and will be placed on a Pioneer team.
• Face masks in the field are mandatory for all players of all ages for safety reasons.
• Recommended equipment: bat, batting helmet with face guard, protective undergarments, cleats, and glove.
• Please check the SWLL calendar on a regular basis for important dates.

Ages:  4 – 5

• T-Ball is a co-ed division. [See Baseball Divisions]

Ages:  5 – 8

• Instructional division working on developing skills, softcore 11” softball, coach pitch, 2-3 inning game setting that are usually scheduled 2x week with modified rules.
• Any 8-year old that wants to be considered for Minor Softball Division will need to identify this in the comments section during registration and attend a player evaluation for consideration.

Ages:  9 – 10

• 8-year-olds are welcome to be evaluated to be considered to play in the Minor division.
  • League discretion will be based on the number of players and teams formed as well as the child’s ability as demonstrated during evaluations.
  • Please note if you would like to be considered in the registration comments.
• 6 inning games, kid pitch from 35 ft. rubber, standard 11” softball, Little League Rules (slightly modified).  All-Star team is selected
• Advanced 10-year-olds may be evaluated to play in Softball Major division, please note in registrations comments.

Ages:  11 – 12

• 10-year-olds are welcome to be evaluated to be considered to play in the Majors division.
  • League discretion will be based on the number of players and teams formed as well as the child’s ability as demonstrated during evaluations.
  • Please note if you would like to be considered in the registration comments.
• 6 inning games, kid pitch from 40 ft. rubber, standard 12” softball, Little League Rules.  All-Star team is selected

Ages:  13-14

• Little League Rules
• 7 inning games, 43 ft. rubber, Little League Rules, All-Star team is selected
• Depending on registration numbers, they could be combined with Senior Division or with another local Little League.
• Approximately 10 game schedule against other local Little Leagues in the area

Ages:  14 – 16

• Little League Rules
• 7 inning games, 43 ft. rubber, Little League Rules, All-Star team is selected
• Depending on registration numbers, they could be combined with Junior Division or with another local Little League
• Approximately 10 game schedule against other local Little Leagues in the area
